Meeting between the Vice-President for Medical Affairs of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan

On June 26, 2026, a meeting was held between Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President for Medical Affairs of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rana Abu Hijleh, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan.

Warmly welcoming the diplomat, the Vice-President of the Fund emphasized the great importance attached by Turkmenistan to the development of friendly and brotherly relations with the State of Palestine.

As noted by O. Atabayeva, Turkmenistan stands for global peace, sustainable development and security – fundamental principles that are inextricably linked to the well-being of children.

It was emphasized that the activities of the Charity Fund, established on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, are aimed at taking measures to provide medical and social assistance to children, particularly those in need of guardianship.

Noting the significance of the Charity Fund’s activities and the humanitarian initiatives implemented by Turkmenistan, the diplomat, on behalf of the leadership of her country, once again expressed gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for the humanitarian aid sent to the Palestinian people funded by the resources of the Fund.

The head of the diplomatic mission of Palestine also noted that the Fund carries out active operations not only within Turkmenistan but also far beyond its borders.

Noting that the Charity Fund pays special attention to humanitarian activities at the international level, O. Atabayeva emphasized that work in this direction will be continued.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice-President for Medical Affairs of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Rana Abu Hijleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan, expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and exchanged their best wishes.

Upon completion of the meetings at the Fund's headquarters, with the participation of Vice-President Oguljahan Atabayeva, a contract-signing ceremony was held between the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Turkish company "Gap İnşaat Yatırım ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş." for the modernization and reconstruction of a school in the city of Arkadag, as well as the construction of a physical education and sports complex and a 320-bed kindergarten on its territory.
