Turkmen people have been creators of spiritual and cultural values throughout their millennia-long history. The valuable ideas of the titan of world literature and a prominent thinker of our people, Magtymguly Fragi, have forever been enshrined in the treasury of universal civilization. This explains the immense support from leading international organizations and members of the global community for large-scale studies of the life and work of the poet.

Today's event, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet-thinker Magtymguly Fragi, holds special significance.

Today, the scale of the celebration in honor of the poet and philosopher of the Turkmen people has reached the whole world. Over the past centuries, the wise thoughts of Magtymguly Fragi have become a principle of life not only for our nation but for representatives of other peoples as well.

As you know, the collection of manuscripts by Magtymguly Fragi has been included in the UNESCO "Memory of the World" program, and the 300th anniversary of the poet has been inscribed in the list of anniversaries celebrated in cooperation with UNESCO. All this fully reflects the profound reverence for the memory of this outstanding master of artistic word.

At the same time, the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) has declared 2024 the Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World – Magtymguly Fragi.

2024 has been declared in Turkmenistan as the year of "The Treasury of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi." Based on this, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, has proposed a grand celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi to widely promote the works of the poet, which have already become a treasure for all humanity.

Renowned domestic and foreign poets and prose writers, scholars, literary critics, artists, and representatives of the arts have also done significant work: they have created impeccable works dedicated to the great poet and thinker. Today, their efforts play a crucial role in studying and glorifying the rich literary heritage of Magtymguly.

In the foothills of the Kopet Dag – a picturesque corner of Ashgabat – a monumental sculpture of Magtymguly Fragi has been erected, and a cultural park complex bearing his name has been built. Their creation is directly attributed to the wise initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag. The complex also features monuments to foreign poets and prose writers, which itself is a triumphant expression of friendship and brotherhood in a sovereign state, as envisioned by Magtymguly Fragi.

Moreover, I would like to note that several foreign countries have also erected monuments to Magtymguly Fragi: such noble deeds significantly strengthen the bridges of friendship and brotherhood between peoples.

The great and rich heritage of Magtymguly has predetermined the foundation of Turkmenistan's foreign policy: his unshakeable ideas about peace, justice, humanism, friendship, and brotherhood, and respect for all and everyone significantly influence our interactions with other states.

The poet and thinker, who played an immense role in shaping the character of our nation, explored the world: he traveled to many countries. His journeys profoundly influenced his worldview, broadening and enriching it, ultimately leading to a mutual enrichment of cultures and knowledge between peoples.

The poetry of Magtymguly is a patriotic hymn: he loved his people and homeland with all his heart, calling for their protection and appreciation. As an outstanding thinker, he yearned for the well-being of humanity and pointed the way to it.

The poet's verses also contribute to the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and high morality, to cultivate worthy individuals who will direct their knowledge and professional skills for the good of the state, society, and humanity.

By remaining committed to his instructions, we will continue to strengthen the unity and cohesion of our people, the sovereignty of our state, as well as expand ties of friendship and brotherhood, good-neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries of the world.
