In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan the validity period of passports of citizens of Turkmenistan temporarily or permanently residing in foreign countries, which expired or will expire between 1 January 2020 and 30 December 2022, will be extended until 31 December 2022.

In this regard, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the French Republic, upon the request of citizens of Turkmenistan, makes appropriate notes in their passports on extending of the passport validity period.

Citizens of Turkmenistan in need of an extension of their passports must send the following documents in advance to the Embassy via e-mail: turkmenambcons@gmail.com.

- Application (according to the sample);

- Copy of the foreign and domestic passports;

- Copy of the card of a resident permit or the relevant visa of the host country;

- 1 photo of 3x4 or 4x5 size in electronic (jpg format) and paper form.

After receiving the abovementioned documents, the Embassy will send to the citizens via e-mail information about the time and date when they can visit to receive the extension of the validity of their biometric passports. When arriving at the Embassy, citizens must have with them the original biometric passport, the original application and one 3x4 or 4x5 size photo.

A note on the extension of the period of a passport is carried out free of charge, the applicant must pay the cost of the postal transfer if the application is sent by mail.
